Wang Shuai Worked as an Intern in UNHCR

Through public recruitment and interview selection, Wang Shuai from the international Politics and English double degree class of 2015 obtained the internship opportunity of UNHCR Representation in China. He started his internship in April 2020 for 6 months.

Wang Shuai worked as a Protection Intern in the Protection group (community-based). His main tasks were to deal with requests for financial assistance and update the records of the assistance. He handled the help information, contacted and helped solve the requests of the clients. Preparation of participatory assessments; Telephone consultation for refugees and caregivers; Case intervention; Review national social policies and programs related to refugee assistance, as well as other tasks assigned by superiors.

In recent years China has begun to pay attention to the cultivation of professional talent in international organization. It is an effective way to cultivate qualified inter-disciplinary talents by learning professional theories and knowledge in school and then applying knowledge and broaden horizons through practicing.
