January 5-6, 2017, International Conference on "Regional Perspectives on China and its Neighboring Countries" was held in Leiden University. More than 40 scholars from the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Uzbekistan, Canada, the United States, China and other countries participated in the conference. Professor Wang Xueyu, Director of the Center for European Studies at Shandong University, was invited to participate in the conference and gave a speech on Competition, Conflict or Checks and Balances between China and India, which has been published together with other conference papers.
