2016级英政班马文啸和2015级国英班王帅与其他8名山东大学学生代表，在领队老师的带领下于2019年8月4日至23日前往位于意大利都灵的联合国国际劳工组织国际培训中心（International Training Centre of the ILO）参加联合国青年领袖精英班（Global Youth Leadership Academy，GYLA）。在本次GYLA结业表彰中，马文啸获评优秀学员称号。
在国际培训中心的三周学习过程中，学员们了解到了国际组织前沿知识，近距离接触到了联合国系统与国际组织官员，亲身实践了跨文化交流与高情商领导力技能。在第一周的课程中，学员们系统学习了联合国可持续发展目标（SDGs）相关知识。第二周，学员们赴瑞士日内瓦进行为期四天的参观学习，走访了联合国欧洲办事处——万国宫、联合国国际劳工组织（ILO）、世界卫生组织（WHO），并聆听了来自国际劳工组织（ILO）、世界卫生组织（WHO）、国际贸易中心（ITC）等国际组织官员的课程分享，收获良多。在最后一周的课程中，学员们从项目管理、跨文化交流到情商和领导力的提升等方面接受到系统而全面的专业培训。

马文啸：After three weeks at GYLA, I learned a lot about the knowledge of international organizations, approached the United Nations system at close range, and improved my intercultural communication skills and high EQ leadership. Although the GYLA project is over, our journey to the United Nations is just beginning, and the students of Shandong University are bound to move on to the international stage.
王帅：Three weeks in GYLA presented me with an incomparable journey and unforgettable memories, which make the summer of 2019 more meaningful for me. This is the first time I step into the door of international organizations. The UN’s inclusive working environment and grand mission attract me a lot. If I am lucky enough to be a member of it in the future, I will spare no effort to help make the world a better place.
